Richard Colton
Writer. Director. Editor
Richard has worked in the film and TV industry for the past 30 years as an editor and now a director.
As an editor, he worked on mainstream TV shows such as London’s Burning, The Bill, Casualty, Dream Team and Trial and Retribution, as well as low-budget movies such as Strippers Vs Werewolves, The Fall of the Essex Boys, The Rise and Fall of a White Collar Hooligan and Alien Uprising, just to name a few.
Richard always had aspirations to direct his own work, and in 2016 he switched over to directing, following in the footsteps of great directors like Robert Wise, David Lean and Stuart Baird all of which where editors first.
Having a background in editing allows Richard to be concise with his shot choices and therefore economical with budgets.
Richard has now written & directed five features, Dangerous Game, Dead Ringer, The Seven, Override and most recently, Dream Hacker.
Richard’s past success as a producer, writer and director on these five films has brought valuable experience in the international independent film industry. This experience is how Richard plans to ensure Royal Flush Productions will grow and prosper for all involved.
Although Richard could work as a one-person team, making great stylish films whilst not costing a fortune, Richard’s film-making ethos is that film is a collaborative medium. So he has put together a strong, talented award winning team to make Royal Flush Productions projects a success.
In 2018 Richard won best independent film at
the National Film Awards for Dead Ringer.

They ensure absolute transparency throughout the filmmaking process, from pre-production to sales and distribution, they will act as executive producers on our productions.
